The event is being organized in partnership with Mumbai Port Trust. The objective of this event is to bring the cruise potential of IORA member countries to the fore. The Conference will discuss the challenges and opportunities in developing cruise tourism in the region.
As you know, the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) is a dynamic inter-governmental organisation aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and sustainable development within the Indian Ocean region through its 22-member states and 10 dialogue partners.
Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT) is a port which lies midway on the West coast of India, on the natural deep-water harbour of Mumbai in Maharashtra. The harbour spread over 400 square kilometres and opens to the south to the Arabian Sea. MbPT has initiated a lot of initiatives to establish Mumbai and India as one of the prominent cruise destination.
